How does Healthchek work?
The purpose of Healthchek is to discover and treat health problems early. Services include screening, diagnosis and treatment. If a possible health problem is found, Healthchek can help members get the treatment they need to promote the best health outcomes.
How many physical exams are covered?
Healthchek covers 12 check ups in the first two and half years of life and then once-a-year check ups after that.
What do physical exams include?
- Preventive check ups for newborns, infants, children, teens, and young adults under the age of 21
- Complete medical exam
- Vision exams
- Dental exams
- Hearing exams
- Nutrition checks
- Developmental exams
- Lead testing
- Laboratory tests for certain ages
- Medically necessary follow-up care to treat medical, mental or other health issues found during a screening
